Bernard and Linda Lewis are part of UFM WorldWide, working as missionaries in Papua New Guinea (PNG) where they are seconded to ECPNG (Evangelical Church of Papua New Guinea). The main emphasis of Bernard's ministry is preaching, Bible teaching and pastoral support for national pastors. Linda has a similar role amongst the women, particularly the pastors' wives. She also does a lot of hospitality for missionaries in transit. With their change of circumstances they now have greater opportunity to travel to help pastors and church leaders in more remote areas of PNG

UFM

UFM Worldwide is an interdenominational mission working in Africa, Asia, Asia Pacific, Europe and South America. The mission was founded in 1931 as The Unevangelised Fields Mission.
Unevangelised are people who have not heard the good news (Rom. 10:13-15. As witnesses of the truth of the Gospel, UFM missionaries take up the challenge.
Fields are target frontiers of the harvest where people live in groups with social, ethnic and linguistic similarities (John 4:35).
Mission is the seeking out of unreached peoples, including those with little access to the Gospel. We share the Good News so that people begin worshipping God and establishing themselves in a church. To reach the goal (Rev. 7:9) demands faithful obedience, innovative strategies, a driving call and a team effort.
